Transling ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Transling mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Transling is designed to work primarily on-device. We do not require account creation.

A. Camera and Image Data

• The App uses your camera to capture frames for text detection and translation overlays.
• Camera frames are processed locally on your device for OCR and display features.
• Images are only saved to your device when you explicitly choose to save/export.

B. Audio Data (Optional)

• If you use speech input, the App uses microphone permission only for that feature.
• If you use text-to-speech playback, translated text is spoken on-device.

C. Text You Provide

• Text entered manually and text detected from images is used to perform translation.
• We do not create user accounts or profile databases in the App.

D. Device/Diagnostic Data

• The App may generate local logs for stability/debugging during normal operation.
• No advertising ID is required for core app functionality.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide OCR and translation features.
• Render translated overlays in camera mode.
• Allow optional exports (images/PDF) to your device storage.
• Maintain app reliability and performance.

3. Network and Third-Party Services

• The App uses Google ML Kit translation components; language models may be downloaded when needed.
• Standard Google Play / Android platform services may process technical request data as part of model delivery.
• We do not sell personal data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Information may be disclosed only when legally required (for example, valid legal process).

5. Data Storage and Retention

• Most processing is on-device.
• Saved images/PDF files remain on your device until you delete them.
• Temporary in-memory data (such as translation cache) is not intended as long-term storage.

6. Your Choices

• You can deny camera/microphone permissions, though related features may not work.
• You control whether to save translated images/PDF files.
• You can remove saved files from your device at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
